The origin of the brunch

The brunch finds its origin in the United States before being introduced in Great Britain at the end of the XIXth century. Once popular in the UK, the Brunch entered France in the 1980s.
It is now proposed in numerous restaurants and hotels, mainly the weekend. This type of meal is very popular among the young city-dwellers, in particular in the big cities where the offer is growing. Sunday Pleasure for some or gustative answer to the late waking up for the others, the Brunch has democratized itself!

An eclectic composition

The Brunch is like a buffet in which the guests can choose among dishes and drinks which compose the breakfast and the lunch. The main rule of the Brunch is to have no one.
That is how the sweet elements of the continental breakfast meet on the table, that is to say croissants and similar products, pancakes, toasts and other slices of bread joined by butter, honey and jams! Then come the traditional drinks (tea, coffee, chocolate, fruit juice). Then are added the salty dishes : cooked meats, cheeses, salads, meats and salty tarts. It is better when you have many choice! The central element is the egg, which has to be served scrambled, fried, poached, hard-boiled and in omelette.
